Gothic Ballerinas in Acrylics

Hello Friends!

Yesterday I decided to paint more Gothic ballerinas. I painted some several years ago as well. This was a lot of fun. I just stayed loose and didn’t worry about body shape as you can tell, ha ha!

Happy Friday, and have a great weekend!

Have a wonderful day, and give someone you love a big hug! 😃

Ballerina in Acrylics

Hello Friends!

The other day I painted this ballerina on a panel, 6.5″ x 12″. The size was a lot smaller than I have done in quite a while. So it was challenging!

I think I may be doing more ballerinas soon. They are really my favorite thing to paint. I love drawing and painting animals, too, but I love the elegance of ballerinas the most.

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😃

Cat and Mouse in Acrylics

Hello Friends!

Yesterday I spent the day painting! I just had a fun idea to paint a mouse coming out of his hole and trying to slam on the brakes before he bumps into the sleeping cat. But it scares the poop right out of him, ha ha. Little does he know the cat is awake! Uh oh!!

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😃

Wolf in Acrylics

Hello Friends!

Happy New Year! I decided I wanted to try painting a wolf in Acrylics. But the smallest canvases I have are 8x10s. So instead of drawing it first, I just eyeballed it which is why I ended up getting it’s ears too close together, ha ha! The nose was a definite challenge, too. And the eyes. But it was a learning experience! 🤣

Anyway, I hope everyone had a nice holiday season. Ours was lovely. Until next time…

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😀

Abstract Series #2 in Acrylics

Hello Friends!

Here is the second set of abstract paintings I painted in acrylics.

I really enjoyed exploring colors and shapes with these. It was also interesting to find that if I mixed or layered the black and pink, I found neutral colors as well. I had fun with these!

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😀

Abstract Series #1 in Acrylics

Hello Friends!

Lately, I have been exploring working with color and pattern abstractly. It has been a fun journey so far. So here is my first series!

Playtime in Acrylics and Charcoal

Hallo Friends!

The other day I decided to rake some charcoal over a blank canvas. Then I drew these figures like a preschooler and used acrylic paints to add some color.

This was a lot of fun! I loved the freedom of the process. It was very spontaneous.

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😃

Abstract in Acrylics

Hello Friends!

I decided to use some bright colors the other day to have some fun painting on canvas.

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😃

Yeah…I’m Cool!

Hello Friends!

I liked drawing these characters. He thinks he’s watching her on the sly. Ha ha! All the while she’s thinking, ‘no way, dude!’

But I feel a little sorry for him. He may just be a nice guy who’s trying to impress her. She may be missing out!

What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😃

Dug the Dog in Pencil

Hello Friends!

I really enjoyed drawing Dug, the dog from the movie UP! He is always so happy!

Have a wonderful day and give someone you love a big hug! 😃
